Amy Dickinson has built a national readership like no other syndicated advice columnist since her debut in the Chicago Tribune in 2003. Her legions of fans will also be excited about her memoir, “The Mighty Queens of Freeville: A Mother, a Daughter, and the Town That Raised Them” (Hyperion).
The book, scheduled to hit bookstores Tuesday, February 3, chronicles Amy’s life before she became Ann Landers' successor and details her “fairy-tale ending” to her life story. TMS is pleased to offer you this special excerpt along with a special price to receive the Ask Amy column each week.
The book has already received enthusiastic reviews and will be promoted heavily on "Good Morning America," "The View," NPR, in Redbook and Good Housekeeping magazines, as well as via a national book tour.
The column moves Monday-Sunday and the 2,500-word excerpt will be made available for publication on Sunday, February 1. Editors can run it in two parts or run one independent of the other. The excerpt will move with the book cover art and Amy’s photo.
